Jesse was born in Kansas City, MO where he was raised by Christian parents and came to Christ at a young age. Jesse attended DeVry University where he earned a degree in Electronics Engineering. He served with Campus Crusade for Christ and was a campus leader at DeVry. Jesse also developed a passion for aviation with the help of a few flying buddies. He earned his Private Pilot's certificate and received the plastic certificate in the mail, bearing the image of Wilbur and Orville Wright, on December 17, 2003 - 100 years to the day of the Wright brothers first powered flight.

Jesse had always had an interest in Alaska, and in the days before reality TV, Alaska was still a land of mystery and adventure. Two years before he graduated from DeVry, he began to look into the possibility of moving to Alaska. He came to Alaska for a two-week backpacking adventure a year before graduation and was hooked. In June of 2004 he graduated and a month later was on the road to Alaska.

When Jesse arrived in Alaska he started work as an engineer for a telecommunications company in Anchorage, a job that included lots of travel to the far reaches of The Great Land. This gave him the opportunity to meet many people who lived and worked in rural villages. He later worked for another telecommunications company, where he had had the opportunity to design wireless networks for much of rural Alaska.

Becky was born in Anchorage, AK. She was also blessed to be raised by Christian parents and came to the Lord at an early age. Beginning in her college years, she went with Cornerstone Church on several missions trips to Zambia, Botswana, and Malawi.  She attended Seattle Pacific University where she earned a degree in Elementary Education.

Jesse and Becky met at Cornerstone Church in 2004 but it was on a missions trip to Botswana in 2006 that they “drank the water” and the rest is history as they say. In 2007 they were married. Then, in 2012 they had a baby boy, Ryker; and then another boy, Carson, in 2014; a daughter, Campbell in 2017; and another daughter Savanna, in 2019.

Jesse has led several missions trips to Malawi where Cornerstone Church has assisted with church planting, pastor training and orphan care. He also helped to establish the Missions Committee at Cornerstone Church in 2009 and served as the chairman for seven years.

In 2010 Jesse & Becky began to feel the Lord’s calling into full-time ministry. After years of pursuing the call, the Lord led them to Missionary Aviation Repair Center in October of 2016. They completed candidacy in January 2017 and accepted the position of IT Manager.

Jesse & Becky love Alaska, and are grateful that the Lord has called them to serve in their home state.
